Are you making plans for the long Labor Day weekend? Want to relax and get out of the house? Take in a festival? It’s all possible this Labor Day Weekend! We’ve gathered up five ways for you to enjoy your long weekend that will get you out about town as we head into the fall!

Indy LaborFest

At this free admission event downtown, enjoy family-friendly activities and relaxation on Georgia Street. In the heart of downtown, you’ll find food of all kinds, live entertainment, and a busy children’s area! Enter raffles, learn about new career opportunities, or just enjoy a day of exploring downtown!

Labor Day Street Fair at The Jazz Kitchen

If you’re in the Broad Ripple area, this all-afternoon event is fun to check out! Enjoy some food from The Jazz Kitchen, Yats, or one of the other restaurants across the street (you can still see & hear the entertainment) while you listen to tunes from Indy-area jazz musicians. The lineup includes Pavel and Direct Contact, Tucker Brothers Group, Rob Dixon and Triology, and DJ Rusty Redenbacher.

Devour Indy

Ending on the Sunday before Labor Day, Devour Indy gives diners the chance to experience Indianapolis restaurants at reduced costs. Over 100 Indianapolis restaurants on every side of town participate each year. Head to the Devour Indy website to explore menus, make reservations, and plan for a great night out!

Floyd Factor at Symphony on the Prairie

Go out to Conner Prairie to enjoy live music on the prairie! Floyd Factor is an event for any Pink Floyd fan, recreating their music in a live setting...with orchestra! Make a night of it with a picnic dinner in beautiful surroundings!

Harry Potter Weekend at the IMAX

If you’ve only seen Harry Potter movies on a small screen, this is something you have to try! The IMAX at the Indiana State Museum is hosting a long weekend showing of the Harry Potter films! Perfect for those just reading the books or for the adults who still love the series. Starting on August 30th, enjoy all four films on the biggest IMAX screen in Indiana!

Do you have big plans for this Labor Day Weekend? If you’re into loud and fun or more low-key entertainment, you’ll find something to do for the three-day weekend!
