When the leaves begin to change in Indiana, there’s still A TON of fun to be had all over town. If you enjoy typical fall activities like picking pumpkins and apples, or maybe you’re more into cultural activities, Indianapolis does not disappoint. With a variety of options happening throughout the autumn months, you’ll definitely find fun and festivities for the whole family.

Irvington Halloween Festival

Since 1927, Irvington has celebrated Halloween in style. With events that include a Spooky Organ Concert, a Vampire Run, Zombie Bike Rides, and Coffin Races, you don’t want to miss out on this annual Irvington festival.

German Fest

Hosted on the grounds of the historic Athenaeum, German Fest is back for its 11th year! German music, german food, BEER, yodeling, and competitive stone lifting are only a few parts of this downtown event! Kids love the German-themed arts & crafts, not to mention the weiner dog races!

Headless Horseman at Conner Prairie

This annual event is perfect for the whole family! If you’re familiar with Washington Irving’s The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, you’ve probably heard of the Headless Horseman. Not only will you see the Headless Horseman on the hayride, but you can experience spooky storytelling, magic and marionette shows, and get lost in the 11-acre corn maze.

Carmel International Arts Festival

Featuring artists from all over the country, downtown Carmel lights up with entertainment, food trucks, and activities for the kiddos! Visitors can also take a design class at the Indiana Design Center as part of the festival - Minecraft, Paint 3D and more! No matter what type of art you enjoy, you can find it in Carmel on September 28, 2019!

Indiana Renaissance Faire

Sword-fighting, fire-eating, jousting, a fairy lunch, and drunken sailor songs are only a little of what you can experience at the Indiana Renaissance Faire! Happening one weekend in October, head up to Noblesville to take in a day of entertainment from days of Queen Elizabeth I - including the food and vendors!

Greek Fest

Dancing, food, music, and more make this a not-to-be-missed event in Central Indiana! On the grounds of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, take a cathedral tour and learn more about the Orthodox Faith and culture.

Indy Donut Festival

Enjoy a Saturday morning with coffee and donuts in Broad Ripple Park! With ticket proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society, you can sample a variety of donuts from Indianapolis-area bakeries, listen to live music, and participate in donut-themed activities for the whole family! A great weekend event for a great cause!

What are some fall festivals you look forward to attending each year?
