There are many golf courses in the Indianapolis area, but not all of them are open to the public because they require a membership. Brookshire Golf Club, while public, has the feel of a private golf course. Owned by the City of Carmel, Brookshire is located between 116th and 126th Street, just west of Gray Road.

Brookshire Golf Course

Brookshire Golf Club’s golf course was built in 1970 by Carmel architect William Diddel. The 18-hole course boasts four sets of tees, allowing players of all ages and skill level to participate. Rates for the course depend on a few factors. Typically, it is cheapest to golf on non-holiday weekdays after 4:00pm. During the week, nine holes of golf starts at $22. On the weekends, rates for nine holes of golf start at $24. A golf court is included with golf course fees. Season passes are available for purchase. A single season past costs $1,850 for Carmel residents and $2000 for players that are not Carmel residents. The golf course also has a driving range. Golfers can purchase a small bucket of balls, approximately 40 balls, for just $5.
