There are margaritas for EVERY occasion! A margarita can come in a variety of flavors, use a handful of different liqueurs (besides the tequila), and make it sweet or spicy! It’s all up to you! On
During the warmer months of the year, the Northside has some of the best festivals in the entire Midwest. While Downtown Indianapolis is known for its spectacular Fourth of July show, the City of Carmel, just a few miles north up the road, has an equally impressive Fourth of July festival known as CarmelFest.
CarmelFest is the largest single gathering in Hamilton County, and it is one of the largest two-day celebrations surrounding the Fourth of July holiday in Indiana. The majority of the events surrounding CarmelFest are located in the Carmel City Center, which is located southwest of the intersection of South Rangeline Road and City Center Drive. For 2016, CarmelFest starts on Sunday, July 3rd, and it ends on Monday, July 4th.
Schedule of Events
Throughout the entirety of CarmelFest, visitors can expect musical performances from groups like the Carmel Symphony Orchestra and the Wright Brothers. Carmel is also planning a parade on July 4th, and, in addition to celebrating Independence Day, it will recognize the State of Indiana Bicentennial. The parade will feature local celebrities, Colt’s cheerleaders, gymnasts, veterans and many other acts. For 2016, the Carmel High School Girls’ Swimming Team will be the parade Grand Marshals. The fireworks show is the grand finale, and it is perhaps the most popular CarmelFest event. It occurs at 9:45pm on July 4th. Fireworks will appear in the sky north of the Palladium. CarmelFest visitors watching the fireworks show can also tune to 91.3 FM WHJE for synchronized music.
There are a number of great vendors that appear at CarmelFest each and every year. Food Row is a particularly popular strip of vendors at CarmelFest. Delicious treats like gyros, corndogs, funnel cakes and smoothies are always available for purchase here. CarmelFest is accepting applications for vendors. With 50,000 estimated visitors, CarmelFest is an excellent place to sell food or advertise a business. Currently, there is an application for vendors on the CarmelFest website.
Considering the size of the crowds every year, CarmelFest needs volunteers to make sure everything runs smoothly. Volunteers are only expected to give a few hours of their time, meaning it is not a huge time commitment. While individuals can certainly volunteer, CarmelFest gladly welcomes families and large groups of volunteers as well. Interested individuals or parties are encouraged to contact Paula at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
CarmelFest also relies heavily on sponsors. Groups like Republic Services, Flix Brewhouse and Geico have been sponsors of CarmelFest. Prospective sponsors are encouraged to contact Peter Primason at 812-219-7188. He can also be reached via email at email@example.com.
