If one of your 2018 resolutions was to spend more time in the gym, there is no shortage of options in Indianapolis. If you prefer a more traditional gym membership, there are plenty of options for you to explore. If you’re looking for a more customized experience, Indianapolis has several of those for you to consider. Check out one (or more) of these options to get moving in the new year.

YMCA of Greater Indianapolis

Locations around Indianapolis and surrounding communities

With memberships at various price points and locations all over the city, it’s easy to put a YMCA membership to use! Take advantage of a variety of classes, swim lessons, preschool programs or before & after school care. Visit their website for the latest membership news.

Chase Near Eastside Legacy Center

727 N. Oriental Street, Indianapolis, IN

If you’re looking for a very affordable gym option near downtown or the eastside, this facility is worth a closer look. The new year’s monthly special currently offered by this facility is great - $20 for families or $10 for an individual basic membership. Check out their Facebook page for the latest gym news and rates!

Aerial Fitness at Cirque Indy

617 Fulton Street, Indianapolis, IN

If running on a treadmill and lifting weights isn’t your idea of working out, consider aerial fitness. These classes use your body weight to strengthen your core, plus you’ll get a lot of flexibility and yoga weaved into your workout. Check Groupon or Living Social for regular deals!

Title Boxing Club

Locations in Indianapolis & Fishers, IN

If you’re looking for short, but effective workouts, boxing here may be a great option for you. Classes consist of warmups, core work, and several 3-minute rounds at the bag. Boxing is great for intense training without all of the intense impact.  Contact them for their new member specials.

The Dailey Method Indianapolis

725 E. 65th Street #200, Indianapolis, IN

If barre, yoga, or pilates is more your style, this may be the type of fitness experience you’re looking for. TDM classes are all about proper alignment of the body, focusing on effectively toning and elongating the muscles of the body. This is another great non-impact option for building muscle strength in the new year.

Getting back into fitness in the new year doesn’t have to be overwhelming or boring! Consider trying a new type of activity or joining a new gym to get the results you’re craving!
