Greater Indianapolis Christmas Tree Sellers
During the holiday season, live Christmas trees become a popular commodity. They provide a wonderful fragrance, and they look more natural than artificial trees. Still, it is occasionally difficult to find them. Fortunately, there are plenty of Christmas tree farms and sellers throughout the Greater Indianapolis area. All provide different products.
Mannix Farms Trees at Spencer Farm
Mannix Farms has been offering Christmas trees to visitors since 1995. In 2008, they began selling their trees at Spencer Farm, which is located on East 161st Street, southwest of Noblesville. They have five different types of Christmas trees with heights ranging from six feet to 12 feet. Spencer Farm is open from 3:00pm to 6:00pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. On Saturdays, it opens at 9am, and it closes at 6pm. On Sundays, it is open between the hours of 11am and 6pm. It is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays during the holiday season. Spencer Farm has a Christmas country store also open to visitors.
Eagle Creek Nursery
Eagle Creek Nursery is located on the extreme northwestern side of Indianapolis, in close proximity to Zionsville and Brownsburg. It is open between 9:00am and 6:00pm on weekdays and Saturdays and 11:00am and 5:00pm on Sundays during the holiday season. It is family-owned, and it has been in operation since 1925. They have Frasier Firs, poinsettias, custom wreaths, roping and fresh-cut greens for Christmas time. Throughout the rest of the year, Eagle Creek Nursery serves as a traditional landscape and nursery with over 50 acres of plants and plant material.
Residents in eastern Hamilton County can make a trip out to Brawner’s Greenhouse, located on East Broadway Street in Fortville. They have been growing Christmas trees for over 35 years. They are a family-owned business, and they belong to The Indiana Christmas Tree Growers Association. Between November 27th and December 24th, they are open between 8:30am and 5:30pm on weekdays and Saturdays. On Sundays, they operate between 11am and 4pm. They sell Scotch trees, White Pine trees and Fir trees during the holiday season. Visitors can cut down their own tree. Santa Claus also visits the farm on November 28th and 29th and December 5th and 6th between noon and 3:00pm.
Gore’s Christmas Trees
Started by Jim Gore Sr. in the late 1950s, Gore’s Christmas trees is a great place in Indianapolis to get a Christmas tree. They have Fraser Firs, Douglas Firs, Grand Firs, Scotch Pines, White Pines, Conifers and Blue Spruces. They sell trees between five and 19 feet in height, providing plenty of variety to customers. They are located on East 62nd Street near Glendale Town Center. They are open between 10am and 9pm on weekdays, and they open at 9:00am and close at 9:00pm on Saturdays. On Sundays, they operate between noon and 9:00pm.
