What are features of your home that you've really enjoyed?
I love the open floor plan that is perfect for staying connected with my family, and for entertaining! And, the views from every window remind me every day to breath and enjoy my home. Then there are the little touches that make it unique, from the custom, handmade fireplace tiles to the shared study space between my sons’ bedrooms to the luxurious gourmet’s kitchen to the charming, one of kind horse barn with its oversized stalls, cushioned rubber stall floors, automatic waterers and so much more!
What can you tell us about your neighborhood?
Our home sits in the middle of the Traders Point Historic district, zoned specifically to preserve the equestrian life style that has dominated this area for decades. My neighbors are animal and horse lovers, who cherish their properties and the area. We are a bike ride away from Trader’s Point Creamery, a short drive away from Eagle Creek Park, the Village of Zionsville and still have easy access to the interstate.
What do you love about your town?
Zionsville is just charming … cobblestone main street, wonderful small shops and yummy restaurants. AND, we are still close to shopping and downtown. The schools are among the best in the state as well! The holiday parades, the carnival in Lyons Park … and it goes on!
Where do you love to eat?
Cobblestone Grill in the Village
LA Café in Whitestown – best kept secret!
Lunch at The Creamery
Pizza, spaghetti and meatballs at Amore
Coffee and pastries at Bites
Cupcakes from Confectionaires
Grocery stores and other conveniences?
Marsh is 4 miles away! For the “big box” feel, Meyers is 4 miles in the other direction. AND, the farmers market every Saturday morning in the Village or at the Creamery on Friday evenings are not to be missed.
What other things do you love or enjoy about the area?
This is a community that easily blends its historical farm orientation with young entrepreneurs and professionals of all ages while maintaining the country feel.
