Not Cooking For Thanksgiving
Not Cooking for Thanksgiving? Places to get a Great Meal in Indy!
If the thought of cooking or hosting on Thanksgiving day sounds absolutely terrible, don’t fret. Whether you’re looking for a traditional meal with turkey and all of the trimmings or for a Thanksgiving buffet, you’ve got options when it comes to feasting this Thanksgiving.
Here are a few places to indulge this Thanksgiving.
Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar
This restaurant at Keystone at the Crossing is offering a multi-course Thanksgiving meal at a Prix Fixe price. Get an appetizer, soup or salad, all of the Thanksgiving fixings, and dessert. Take the stress out of the day and let Fleming's handle the details. If you have kids, this is a great option - they’re offering a kids menu for the big day!
Forget about slaving over your stove when you can gather your loved ones at the luxe Seasons 52 for your Thanksgiving meal. With adult and child portions, there's something for everyone - even wines picked out by the sommelier. At $26.90 for adults and $12.90 for kids, the price point is excellent for this multi-course meal on Indy's Northside.
Buca di Beppo
On Thanksgiving, Buca di Beppo throws out the traditional Italian fare and leans into a more traditional Thanksgiving menu. However, if you want Italian food, you can still order the pasta! At any Indianapolis location, you can get a traditional Thanksgiving meal for dine-in or takeout. Spend more time watching sports or the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade and let Buca di Beppo handle the cooking.
The Indianapolis Propylaeum
This downtown gem, an old mansion in the downtown Old Northside neighborhood, is offering an expansive Thanksgiving Day Buffet. If celebrating your holiday in a historic building sounds amazing, then this is definitely the stop for you. If you're currently a member of The Indianapolis Propylaeum, the cost is cheaper, but plan to spend around $35 for each adult in your group.
Ruth's Chris Steakhouse
Both Indianapolis locations (Downtown & Northside) are serving up a three-course Thanksgiving meal this year! This meal comes with your choice of an appetizer, then the second course of traditional fixings, not to mention the third course of pumpkin cheesecake and vanilla ice cream. Ruth's Chris also wraps up some extras for you to take home to eat the next day - depending on location. Costs for this meal range from $12.95 (children's menu) to $39.95 (Adult's 3-course price).
Or, if a restaurant isn't your style, consider visiting a community meal location instead.
SS. Peter & Paul Cathedral Cathedral Kitchen
This downtown parish is offering a free meal to the community. All are welcome for Thanksgiving Lunch & Dinner. Open from 7 am - 1 pm on Thanksgiving Day. Contact the church for more details.
However you plan to celebrate Thanksgiving 2017, you've got options to keep your time in the kitchen to a minimum. Grab the kids and the rest of the family to show your thanks this holiday, but leave the cooking to the professionals!
