In the midwest, nothing says fall like picking apples! Whether you plan to make an apple pie, apple crisp, or just to enjoy the cider, the Indianapolis area has an opportunity for you to get your fall apple fix! Apple picking is a family-friendly activity or a great date idea for couples. Visiting an orchard basically defines fall, so grab your sweaters, boots, and head out to one of these orchards in the Indianapolis area!


Stuckey Farm

With over 20 types of apples available to pick, heading to Stuckey Farm is a no-brainer for the apple enthusiast! Take a wagon ride, watch the cider press in action, visit their country market, or maybe watch a pig race! If you visit during one of the Harvest Festival weekends, you might even get to shoot an apple cannon! Head north out of Indianapolis to Sheridan to see this farm in action!


Tuttle Orchards

Known for planting over 8000 apple trees and over 20 acres of pumpkins, get your fall fix in one location! Visit the farm store for produce, pies, and other gourmet food items. Take the littles to Tractor Town or to watch the llamas and goats. Watch the bees make honey or get a cider-cooked brat at Tuttle's Grill. The fall fun at Tuttle's Orchard doesn't require a general admission charge, so you Only pay for the activities you want to do.


Adrian Orchards

Located nearest to downtown, this orchard is celebrating over 90 years of serving the Indianapolis community! This isn't a "pick your own" orchard, but they do sell their own apples and cider in their store. Along with apples, you'll find other seasonal foods and fresh produce available for purchase. Pumpkins abound and they even have berries into the summer!


Pleasant View Orchard

Southeast of downtown, you'll find Pleasant View Orchard that's been in operation since the 1930s! Pick your own apples, pumpkins, and visit their concession stand for fried biscuits with apple butter. With a playground for kids and tractor-pulled wagon rides on the weekends, there's something for everyone in your family to enjoy.


Beasley's Orchard

Drive west out of Indianapolis towards Danville to find this fall favorite. Beasley's Orchard has more than just apples for picking! Head out to Beasley's to enjoy the

Circle City Sports Corn Maze - all based on Indiana's sports teams or one of their themed weekends! The weekends in October include the Heartland Apple Festival, Dog Daze at the Maze, and Happy Halloweekend. Fire an apple cannon, take a hayride to pick out a pumpkin, and enjoy the Barnyard Bonanza.
